The early pioneer (convict) William Buckley is the perfect illustration and our reason to embrace life’s challenges. He was the person responsible for the phrase “You’ve got Buckley’s,” meaning, "It's as good as impossible."
It was with good reason, as he was the perfect chameleon and master of survival. After escaping as a convict in a strange and unforgiving land, he adapted and became not only accepted but respected—and was a valuable conduit for progression and understanding between white and aboriginal Australians.
